(SAN BERNARDINO) – On May 20, 2004, members of the California Department of Justice Inland Crackdown Allied (INCA) Task Force, the San Bernardino County West End Narcotic Enforcement Team (SBWESTNET) and uniformed officers from the Chino and Ontario Police Departments seized approximately 1100 pounds of marijuana in the City of Ontario.
Acting on information about possible drug activity at a condominium in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue, Ontario, investigators saw a truck leaving the garage. Officers in a marked Chino Police Department vehicle made a traffic stop on the truck in the City of Chino. A search of the truck resulted in the seizure of approximately 100 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of Arnulfo Contreras Mendoza, 42-years-old, a resident of the City of Ontario.
Later that same night, investigators served a search warrant at the condominium, where approximately 1,000 pounds of marijuana were seized. Packaging material found indicated that thousands of pounds of marijuana had been stored at the location.
The marijuana seized has a street value of approximately five million dollars. If you have any questions please contact INCA Task Force Program Manager Orlando Lopez at (909) 208-9062. Photos are available by e-mail.
