SUMMARY OF CRIME:

On Saturday, January 9, 1999, the victim, Eric Keller, left his San Jose, California, residence for a one-day skiing trip to Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. Failing to return home at his scheduled time that same evening, a missing person report was made on Keller to the San Jose Police Department the following morning, January 10th. On the same afternoon, Keller's 1998 Saab was found locked and unattended by the California Highway Patrol near Interstate 80 in Vacaville. On the morning of January 11th, Keller's partially clothed body was discovered in a field approximately one-half mile from the vehicle discovery site. Cause of death appeared to be blunt force trauma.

On January 8, 1999, Keller was last seen making a purchase at a business in Campbell. Law enforcement agency investigators are requesting any available information on Keller, or the two unidentified persons and their vehicle described below. The vehicle and its occupants were seen in the vicinity of the crime scene, the Lagoon Valley/Rivera Road area of Vacaville, in the morning hours of January 10, 1999. At this time, these persons are not considered suspects, but are wanted by authorities only for questioning.
