William Fitzgerald, 17th Attorney General

Photo of William Fitzgerald
Born in Jackson, Mississippi on February 7, 1846. Joined the ranks of the Confederate Army at age 15. He displayed valor at war with his reckless daring and gallantry. Served as a California Supreme Court justice in 1893 and 1894 prior to becoming Attorney General. Died in Butte, Montana on May 12, 1903.
