Attorney General Becerra Issues Statement On Trump Administration’s Attempt to Swipe at California’s Cap-and-Trade Program

SACRAMENTO – California Attorney General Xavier Becerra today issued the following statement on the Trump Administration’s attempt to chip away at California’s landmark Cap-and-Trade Program by attacking California’s linkage to Quebec:

“California’s Cap-and-Trade Program has existed since 2012 and was only strengthened from our collaboration with Quebec,” said Attorney General Becerra. “California has long been a leader in fighting climate change for the sake of protecting public health, our natural resources, our economy, and indeed our planet. We will continue leaning forward. We have no plans to back down.”
