The Department of Justice proposes to adopt sections 500, 501, 510, 520, 521, 522, 523, 530, 531, 532, 533, 540, 541, 542, 543, 544, 555, and 546 of Title 11, Division 1, Chapter 5 of the California Code of Regulations concerning grants funded by the Department from the California Healthcare, Research, and Prevention Tobacco Tax Act of 2016 Fund. The proposed regulations establish general grant provisions, grant project types, specific application requirements, grant evaluation criteria, and necessary administrative procedures for the effective implementation of the grant program.

Status of the Proposal

The rulemaking is complete. On November 15, 2022, the Office of Administrative Law approved the regulations and filed them with the Secretary of State. The regulations become effective on January 1, 2023.
